Video Transcript:

Hi, my name is Shani. I am 28 years of age and I'm a baby mama to one little girl, Angel Rain. I'm a blogger, a speaker, and a curvy model.

What made you decide to apply for the Everyday Lingerie Co Model Search?

What made me apply? So many reasons. My first meeting, I guess, with Everyday Lingerie underwear was probably about six months ago. I was asked to be in a shoot and the underwear was for a totally different campaign, a postpartum campaign. I literally fell in love. The second I slipped my leg into it, it was so perfect just because of the way it held my mummy tummy is so important. I need to feel comfortable when I'm getting dressed and I just feel like it sets the tone for the day if everything is sitting in place. When I saw that the shoot was coming up, I was like, "I have to be there. I need to spread the word that there is a comfortable underwear." I feel like that you need to feel sexy and also look sexy for yourself to feel confident, so that's why.

What age did you become confident in your skin?

I think that probably the last two years. I'm 28 I think like two years ago, I just was like, "I need to cut the shit and just start loving on myself." After becoming a mom, it's just so important to find ways to see yourself differently because your body just changes so much. I was like, "That's it. I'm just going to start loving every fibre of me and start showing up for myself." So yeah.

What is 1 word you would use to describe yourself?

I would describe myself as courageous. I think that I'm not afraid to step outside the box and shatter the status quo. I'm not afraid to tell my story. I think that when you really step into who you are, you can achieve pretty much anything. So when you're fully loving yourself and stepping into you are, yeah, I really feel like you can do anything.

What is your favourite body part and why?

I feel like I have this question often in the line of work that I'm in and it's so, so hard to pick a favourite part because every part of you does something different, but my favourite part of myself would be my legs.

Which style represents you best; Brief, Boyleg or G String and why?

I like a cheeky brief. I just feel like it holds me in all the right places and that is so important for me, especially it acts like a short as well for my body in the way that it fits. I think that that's important for when I'm wearing a dress, I still want to ... Yeah, I just still want to feel secure, tucked in, and comfortable.

Trying to find the right underwear size can be difficult due to different companies making different sizes. To make things easier we have created a step by step guide to take the guess work out of the equation.

Below we have measuring instructions with images to assist you, alternatively we have a video taking you through each step.

Finding your size:

All you need to do is take 2 simple measurements; your waist and your hips. The best way to do this is by using a soft measuring tape and a mirror to ensure you are accurate.

Measurement 1: Your waist

Your waist is the natural in indentation above your hips or just below your rib cage (see image to right). Wrap the soft measuring tape around firmly without pitching your skin together – write this measurement down

Measurement 2: Your hips

Now wrap the soft measuring tape around the fullest part of your hips, this is approximately 7 inches below your waist (see image to right). Use the mirror to check that your measuring tape is completely straight and parallel to the floor – write this measurement down.

Example: If your waist is 78 cm and hips 104 cm we would recommend a size 12, however if you want a slight looser fit you may opt for a size 14.

ELC Size 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 22
