The ELC Monthly Brief – October 2021

Here we are October is ending and it is great to see the Melbourne weather has provided a number of days of sunshine and day light savings for many states has begun.

October for me has been a busy one with the launch of Brief Talk. Our NEW weekly Video Blog series.

It has been great finishing the set up the in-house studio area that I can film in and hopefully in the future we will be able to have some special guests LIVE in the studio covering even more topics.

If you have not viewed any of the episodes yet, do not worry you can find all the episodes on the website in the Blogs section with full transcripts, on our You Tube channel or our Instagram page under IGTV.

Episode one is all about a detailed introduction to who and what Brief Talk is. This episode was to take you through what and how we will be covering topics in the coming episodes. Read it here

Episode two we have taken a deep dive into the Everyday Lingerie Co brand and are discussing our bamboo underwear range, the styles, and colours along with how we came to be. Read it here.

Episode three talks about October being Breast Cancer awareness month. We are proud to be raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation through donating some of the proceeds form every Body Mist fragrance and Lingerie Wash Bag sale. The NBCF is a charity that is focused and dedicated to their mission which is #zerodeathsby2030. We are honoured to be able to support this mission as part of our give back program. Read it here.

In episode 4 I am sitting down to talk about how and why I decided that our Australian Made underwear brand would be a photoshop free brand. Not sure if you had the time to watch Todd Sampson’s 2-part series on 10 in September called Mirror Mirror, but the statistics he shared were scary and really drove home how important it is for me to ensure we continue to engage in the conversation around photoshop and photo editing. For me personally having young children I know that I want them to feel empowered and be able to identify with images they see in advertising. Read it here.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this and see how many people are using editing apps in their images across social media platforms.

We have four new episodes lined up for November and will cover our journey to becoming Australian Made, Diet culture in our homes, different underwear styles and what they offer along with an interview with the amazing model Annaliese Gann late in the month.

I am looking forward to sitting down with Annaliese and discuss her journey with self-love and the positive and negatives she has faced within the model and social media world and how she has created a profile with over 100K of followers.

I also commenced writing my first book which is super exciting. This has been a dream for a number of years and in the last 4 week everything just fell into place. I am 10,000 words into the initial draft and only have around 40,000 to go. My book is all about business start ups and all the things as a founder, there is so much that you need to know but the truth is many of us do not know the right questions to ask. I have been working with a number of start-up founders helping guide them in their journeys over the past 2 years and saw how different areas are pain points for different people.

I am looking forward to completing my manuscript in the coming months and then sitting down with my editors to really build it out. Stay tuned on my socials to find out more.

Finally, we are finalising all the patterns for the new crop top and anti-chafe shorts we have mentioned previously. We will share launch dates as they come to hand.

Thank you for a fantastic month and we really appreciate all the support we have received from the community.

Looking forward to sharing our wrap up in November, do not forget to start your Christmas shopping soon and we have our Gift Vouchers available online.

Have a wonderful month ahead,

Danielle xxx

Sizing

Trying to find the right underwear size can be difficult due to different companies making different sizes. To make things easier we have created a step by step guide to take the guess work out of the equation.

Below we have measuring instructions with images to assist you.

Finding your size in our Underwear Range:

All you need to do is take a couple of simple measurements; your waist, your lower waist and your hips. The best way to do this is by using a soft measuring tape and a mirror to ensure you are accurate.  If possible stand in front of a mirror when taking your measurements to ensure that the measuring tape is also parallel to the floor and is flat.

Measurement 1: Your waist

Your waist is the natural in indentation above your hips or just below your rib cage (see image). Wrap the soft measuring tape around firmly without pitching your skin together – write this measurement down.

Measurement 2: Your Lower Waist

Your lower waist is approx. 12cm down from your waist.  Take your measuring tape and run this down from your waist to 12cm (see image). Wrap the soft measuring tape around this area firmly without pitching your skin together – write this measurement down.

Measurement 3: Your hips

Now wrap the soft measuring tape around the fullest part of your hips, this is approximately 25cm below your waist (see image). Use the mirror to check that your measuring tape is completely straight and parallel to the floor – write this measurement down.

Finding your size in our Crop Top Bralette Range:

All you need to do is take a couple of simple measurements; your Full Bust and your Lower or under bust. The best way to do this is by using a soft measuring tape and a mirror to ensure you are accurate.

Measurement 1: Your Full Bust

Your Full Bust is the fullest part of your bust (see image). Ensure that the measuring tape is completely straight and parallel to the floor. Wrap the soft measuring tape around firmly without pitching your skin together – write this measurement down

Measurement 2: Your Lower or Under Bust

The Lower or Under bust is measured by wrapping the measuring tape around your rib cage directly under your bust (see image). Wrap the soft measuring tape around firmly without pitching your skin together – write this measurement down
